Cooking with Mong-ga

Mindful Cooking-7.png

Looking for a healthy and flavorful recipe to keep the spark in your health journey?

How about connecting with others over Zoom while learning about different culinary traditions from the African diaspora?

Join a mother-daughter team in their virtual kitchen, Sunday, February 7th at 2 pm ET.

Ms. Clover (aka Mong-ga) will share the recipe for her Jamaican jerk bean chili for the vegetarians and add a bit of smoked turkey for our non-vegetarians.

Anthropologist and Medical Sociologist, Dr. Michelle Beadle Holder will also share lessons she has learned about the connections between Mindful cooking and cuisines from the African diaspora.

By the end of the event you will:

  • Learn to cook a healthy and flavorful meal.

  • Discover contributions of Africa to the culinary traditions of Jamaica and the US.

  • Leave with practical mindfulness tips to help make cooking and eating even more enjoyable.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, February 7th at 2 pm ET.

The shopping list for the recipe will be emailed to you after registration.
