Meet Dr. Michelle

I’m a mindfulness consultant and practitioner who found healing at the stove, during the hardest chapters of my life.

The seeds of Nourish and Soothe were planted by my mother. She modeled what it meant to prioritize wellness, even when it meant making hard changes like transforming our family meals for her heart health.

Those seeds took root as I quietly navigated depression during my teens and early adulthood. They deepened during a painful divorce. And they grew stronger when I left my role as a health science professor to focus fully on healing work.

Through it all, cooking has been my anchor. It’s helped me to regulate my nervous system, soothe anxiety, recuperate from depression, reverse pre-diabetes, and reconnecte to a deeper sense of well-being.

I believe that food is more than fuel.

It can serve as medicine for the body, heart, mind, and soul.
