African Culinary Heritage

 

In 2019, Food at the Center collaborated with the Howard County Library System to offer a three part series on African Culinary Heritage. The idea for the course emerged while our founder, Michelle Beadle Holder, PhD offered her expertise and support in development of library’s cultural connection garden.



In addition to the course, the collaboration lead to the expansion of the library’s catalog of books on the historical and contemporary culinary contributions of people of African descent.


Afro- & Caribbean Vegan Cookbooks

Some of the cookbooks included were Afro-Vegan and Caribbean Vegan.
